Verizon’s student mobile discount can save up to $25 per month—but that maximum applies to two eligible phone lines, not one. The student discount does not include Disney+. Verizon’s separate six-month Disney+ Premium promotion required enrollment by May 31, 2026, so that offer is no longer open to new enrollments as of October 8, 2026.
How much can students save on Verizon mobile?
Verizon lists monthly savings of $10 for one eligible phone line and $25 for two eligible lines on qualifying Unlimited plans. The discount is a mobile-plan offer, not a free streaming bundle. Verizon also lists a separate discount structure for its Simplicity plan: 10% off.
The $25 figure is the combined monthly discount for two eligible lines on one account. Verizon permits a maximum of two eligible lines for this offer, and a third phone line can make the account ineligible.
Who qualifies for the mobile discount?
Verizon says actively enrolled undergraduate, graduate, vocational, and online students at qualifying U.S. higher-education institutions may qualify. The applicant must meet these account and verification conditions:

Does Verizon still offer students free Disney+?
Not through the six-month student-related promotion described in Verizon’s offer terms. That separate promotion covered Disney+ Premium (No Ads), but enrollment had to be completed by May 31, 2026. Verizon also says the plans that qualified for that promotion are no longer available to add. The enrollment window has passed; the student mobile discount itself does not provide Disney+.

The expired promotion did not include Hulu or ESPN+. During the promotional period, changing to an ineligible plan could trigger a charge. After the six months, the subscription could convert to a paid subscription under its terms. Verizon’s Disney+ promotion FAQ and Disney+ terms describe those conditions.
How to check your eligibility and avoid surprise charges
- Check your plan and line count. In My Verizon, review the account’s plan and phone lines. Confirm that the plan is eligible and that the account has no more than two qualifying lines.
- Confirm your account role. The person applying must be the account owner or account manager.
- Verify enrollment and register. Complete student verification through ID.me, then use Verizon’s student-discount enrollment flow.
- Review the bill-change summary. Before confirming, check My Verizon’s summary for the plan and discount changes that will take effect.
- Check streaming subscriptions separately. If the account has Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN subscriptions, review how any new or existing offer affects billing. Verizon warns existing subscriptions may not automatically be replaced or paused, so overlapping charges are possible.

Can students get a separate Verizon Fios discount?
Yes. Verizon lists a separate 10% monthly discount on qualifying Fios Home Internet plans. It requires active enrollment at an accredited, degree-granting U.S. college or university, an eligible Fios plan, and ID.me verification. Verizon says there is one discount per account and that it generally cannot be combined with most offers. This Fios discount is separate from the mobile savings and does not restore eligibility for the expired Disney+ promotion. See Verizon’s Fios student discount FAQ for its terms.
