For the week of December 15–21, 2025, Canadian streaming highlights include an endangered-animal documentary on Apple TV, a new film on Crave, a Disney+ comedy special, and returning or new series on Netflix and Prime Video. This is a dated guide to that week’s announced releases, not a current catalog report; streaming availability can change.
Apple TV: Born to Be Wild arrives Dec. 19
The six-episode documentary follows endangered young animals, including moon bear cubs, Iberian lynx kittens, and rescued African penguins. Hugh Bonneville narrates, according to MobileSyrup’s Canadian weekly roundup.
Crave: a film premiere and a complete series
Irish Blood — Dec. 15
All six episodes of the drama were listed as arriving on Crave on Dec. 15. The story follows an American lawyer seeking answers about her estranged father. The series originally premiered on Acorn TV on Aug. 11, 2025; the Canadian roundup also notes the involvement of Canadian co-production company Shaftesbury and Ontario actor Wendy Crewson.
One Battle After Another — Dec. 19
This black comedy-thriller, based on Thomas Pynchon’s novel Vineland, was listed with a 2-hour-42-minute runtime. It is the week’s featured Crave film in MobileSyrup’s Canadian roundup.
