Daniel Bradshaw started StreetX in his mother’s spare room in Perth in 2011. By 2021, the label had a Northbridge shop, customers queuing for limited designs and a business he said had shifted from giving away shirts to selling mostly its own products. That account shows a brand’s changing shape, but it is not a measure of revenue or market share.
How Daniel Bradshaw started StreetX
In a profile published on 2 May 2021, PerthNow reported that Bradshaw began StreetX in 2011 in his mother’s spare room. The early operation was small enough that the label gave away shirts. Bradshaw described the transition in his own words: “We gave away shirts for free at the start and then slowly made more and more and now it’s built up …to selling pretty much only our own stuff.”
That is Bradshaw’s account of how StreetX developed its product focus, rather than independently audited sales information. The same 2021 profile marked the label’s 10 years in business and described a Northbridge store and queues for limited designs. Those observations offer a picture of its public presence at the time, not a quantified measure of business growth.
Why Perth is central to the label’s identity
Bradshaw framed StreetX as a label that could build a reputation without leaving Western Australia. In the 2021 PerthNow profile, he said: “The whole thing is you have to leave (Perth) to be successful, but you can succeed here.” He also said, “We always try to broadcast where we’re from to the rest of the world.”

Local identity is expressed not just in those statements but in collaborations and designs. The 2021 profile named partnerships with Perth businesses Pretzel, Daisies, Chu Bakery and Re Store, alongside an anniversary jacket release. Those collaborations connected the clothing label to other recognizable local businesses.
Collaborations carried the WA theme into later releases
In a 13 February 2026 report, PerthNow covered a StreetX AFL Origin capsule. Bradshaw said, “So much of our brand is rooted in Western Australian culture,” and described the collection as drawing on WA iconography, including the Swan. PerthNow reported that the graphic tee was released online, while hoodies and scarves were available at an event pop-up at Forrest Place.

The same report named collaborations with Ben Cousins, Jack Della Maddalena and Tony Galati. These are examples of how StreetX’s local references have included sport and public figures as well as small businesses. The AFL Origin items were tied to a dated release and event; their appearance in that report does not establish that they remain on sale.
