Was Ted Lasso season 4 accidentally confirmed?
No. The “accidentally confirmed” framing is not supported by the public announcement record. The Associated Press reported Apple’s season-four announcement on March 14, 2025: this was an official renewal, not an accidental disclosure. Associated Press
When did season 4 come out?
Apple announced on January 28, 2026, that production was underway and the season would debut that summer. On April 28, Apple set the global premiere for Wednesday, August 5, with new episodes each Wednesday through October 7. The scheduled run has now concluded. Apple’s Ted Lasso show page lists season 4 and links to Apple TV, the viewing destination identified by Apple. The first three seasons are also identified as streaming globally on Apple TV in the release announcement.

What is season 4 about?
Ted returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s football team. Apple described the season’s theme as taking chances. Jason Sudeikis summed up the direction in a statement quoted by the Associated Press: “In season four, the folks at AFC Richmond learn to LEAP BEFORE THEY LOOK, discovering that wherever they land, it’s exactly where they’re meant to be.” Associated Press
