Apple announced on April 28, 2026 that season 4 would premiere globally on Wednesday, August 5. The first episode arrived that day, with new episodes scheduled every Wednesday through October 7. As of October 8, that announced run is complete. Apple TV Press confirmed the premiere date and schedule.
How did the release date change from the original window?
On January 28, 2026, while the season was in production, Apple announced a global debut in summer 2026 without giving a specific day. The April announcement narrowed that window to August 5 and set the weekly schedule. Apple’s January announcement gave the initial summer window.
What is season 4 about?
Apple says Ted returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s football team. Its announcement described the challenge this way: “In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team.” The official season announcement also names returning cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, alongside new additions Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely.
