Stevie Nicks’s poem, titled “For T and me…,” is reported to appear in physical copies of Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department. GRAMMY.com reported the inclusion on the album’s April 19, 2024 release day. Because physical editions can differ, check the exact product listing and booklet contents before buying; the available sources do not confirm the poem is in every edition.
What is Stevie Nicks’s poem?
“For T and me…” is an original poem attributed to Stevie Nicks. GRAMMY.com reported that physical copies of Swift’s album feature it. Stevie Nicks Info, a fan news site, separately reports that the handwritten poem appeared in a deluxe edition and reproduces a transcription. The poem has a relationship narrative, but the sources do not establish who its people are. Its title and wording are not confirmation that it describes any particular real-life relationship.
Where can you find it?
Look for it in the physical album’s printed materials, rather than assuming it appears in a digital edition. GRAMMY.com’s release-day report supports the general statement that physical copies feature the poem, but does not verify the contents of every CD, vinyl, or cassette SKU currently offered.
The Taylor Swift Official Store’s listing for The Tortured Poets Department CD + Bonus Track “The Manuscript” describes a collectible 20-page booklet with lyrics and photos. That listing description does not itself confirm Nicks’s poem is in that specific CD. Check the listing and, where possible, the booklet contents for the edition you intend to buy.

What do reports say about when it was written?
Stevie Nicks Info reports that the handwritten poem is dated August 13, 2023, in Austin, Texas. The site also notes a “Sept 13 8:50” notation on the text and interprets it as a likely completion time. That interpretation is the site’s, not independently verified author testimony.
How does the poem fit the album?
The Tortured Poets Department was released April 19, 2024. Apple Music’s catalog lists a 17-song version with a running time of 1 hour 5 minutes. GRAMMY.com’s release-day article instead describes a 16-song main album and says The Anthology adds 15 tracks; these are different descriptions of the album’s release formats, so song counts should be read with their edition and source in mind.

GRAMMY.com identifies “Clara Bow” as the original album’s closing track. Apple Music describes the song as reflecting on an entertainer’s rise and an industry focused on whoever is new. That context may help explain the album’s interest in celebrity and cultural attention, but it does not establish that the poem is about “Clara Bow,” Swift, or anyone else.

The album’s title and Nicks’s contribution invite a distinction between a poem printed in an album and lyrics written to be sung. Commenting on Swift’s album to the Associated Press on April 19, 2024, U.S. poet laureate Ada Limón said, “Poetry and song lyrics aren’t exactly the same (we poets have to make all our music with only words and breath),” and added that Swift bringing attention to poetry was exciting. University of Texas at Austin professor Elizabeth Scala told the AP that poetry and song were “inseparable” in early English poetry, while noting they were “not absolutely identical.” Their comments describe a long relationship between the forms, not a rule that every lyric is a poem.
