Taylor Swift called the Kansas City Chiefs’ 26–13 win over the New Orleans Saints “Perfect” in a postgame Instagram Story—and then joked that she was “photobombing” herself in the tour poster behind her.
What Swift said after the Chiefs’ win
After Kansas City defeated New Orleans on October 7, 2024, Chariah Gordon, fiancée of Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr., shared a casual exchange with Swift in an Instagram Story. Gordon asked how Swift felt about the win. Swift playfully turned the question back to her, saying, “No, it’s important that you answer the question.”
Gordon said the team felt good at 5–0 and was heading into a bye week. Swift agreed: “Perfect is the word.”
The tour-poster punchline
As the pair stood in front of a framed image promoting Swift’s Eras Tour, Swift noticed the poster behind them and laughed: “Sorry for photobombing myself.” That self-deprecating line supplied the clip’s lighthearted punchline.

The Chiefs beat the Saints 26–13 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on October 7, 2024, in a Monday Night Football game. The win moved Kansas City to 5–0 before its bye week, the detail Gordon referenced in the clip. The Kansas City Star reported the result and record.
