Guinness World Records lists its gross ticket revenue at $2,077,618,725 for 149 shows from March 17, 2023, through December 8, 2024, citing figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. Pollstar and the Associated Press describe the final gross as an estimated $2.2 billion. Those are distinct source formulations: the Guinness entry gives a precise reported figure, while Pollstar’s estimate is rounded.
What does “biggest tour” mean?
In this record claim, “biggest” means highest gross ticket revenue. It does not mean the tour was the most profitable, had the largest total attendance, or earned the most from merchandise. The available record establishes an all-time music-tour gross-revenue record; it does not provide a complete comparison of every tour since 2000 to define “of the century” as a separate category.
How much did the Eras Tour gross?
Guinness World Records’ 2025 record entry lists $2,077,618,725 in gross revenue across 149 performances, from March 17, 2023, to December 8, 2024. Guinness attributes the figure to numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore. Guinness World Records’ record entry
In its December 2024 coverage, Pollstar put the final gross at an estimated $2.2 billion; the Associated Press reported the rounded estimate. AP says Pollstar’s estimate drew on box-office reports, venue-capacity estimates, historical venue ticket-sale data, and other research. The rounded estimate and Guinness’s precise listed figure should be kept distinct rather than treated as identical measurements. Pollstar’s final-tour report · Associated Press report

How did attendance compare?
Revenue and attendance per show are different measures. Pollstar reported an estimated average of 67,487 attendees per Eras Tour show, compared with 66,090 per show for U2’s 360 Tour, which ran from 2009 to 2011. That comparison concerns average attendance, not total attendance or gross revenue. Pollstar’s December 9, 2024 report
How does it compare with Coldplay’s tour?
In the Associated Press’s December 9, 2024 report, Coldplay’s still-running Music of the Spheres Tour had an estimated gross of about $1.14 billion, with more dates planned. That was a dated snapshot of an ongoing tour, not a current ranking: its cumulative revenue could change as additional shows took place. Associated Press report

Why the distinction matters
A gross-revenue record describes ticket sales before tour costs and other expenses; it is not a measure of profit. Attendance averages show how many people were at a typical performance, while total gross combines revenue across the run. Keeping those measures separate makes the record clear: the Eras Tour’s best-established claim is its reported, record-setting ticket gross, alongside an exceptionally high average attendance.
