For T-Mobile customers, the key question is whether they use the included Netflix Standard with ads benefit or pay extra for a higher tier.
What changed—and what did not
TechCrunch reported that Netflix changed its US subscription prices on March 26, 2026. New subscribers saw the new prices from that date; existing subscribers were to receive notice a month before the new prices were applied over the following months. These are Netflix subscription prices, not evidence of a separate increase to T-Mobile wireless-plan rates. TechCrunch’s report covers the Netflix pricing change.
T-Mobile’s January 14, 2022 newsroom statement addressed an earlier Netflix price change. It said the included benefit remained covered, while customers who had upgraded to Standard or Premium would see the Netflix price change on their T-Mobile bill. That historical statement does not announce a 2026 T-Mobile increase. T-Mobile’s wording at the time was: “Rest assured, your Netflix is still on us!” T-Mobile’s newsroom statement.

Is Netflix on T-Mobile included, or is it an upgrade?
T-Mobile says Standard with ads is included with specified qualifying plans. Its listed plans include Experience More, Experience Beyond, Go5G, Go5G Next, Go5G Plus, and Magenta MAX, along with certain two-or-more-line Go5G or Magenta plans and discounted 55+, Military, First Responder, and Student variants. Eligibility and terms can change, so the plan list is not a substitute for checking your own account. T-Mobile’s offer and support page.
If you choose a Netflix tier above the included benefit, T-Mobile says you are responsible for the price difference, which appears on your T-Mobile bill. The precise amount is account-specific; review the price shown in T-Life or your T-Mobile account before selecting an upgrade. How to check your benefit and bill
- Open the T-Life app or sign in at T-Mobile.com.
- Find Netflix under add-ons or services and review the benefit and any available tier options for your account.
- If you want to use the included benefit, complete activation and link your Netflix account when prompted.
- Review your T-Mobile bill for the “Netflix Discount” description and its associated charge and discount. T-Mobile says billing may take one to two billing cycles to appear after activation.

Why is Netflix on my T-Mobile bill?
If you selected a higher Netflix tier through T-Mobile, the carrier may collect the amount due after applying the benefit or discount. The bill can therefore show both a charge and a discount even when a qualifying plan includes the Standard with ads tier. Check the account’s selected tier and displayed price to determine whether the line item reflects an upgrade rather than a change to your wireless-plan rate. T-Mobile support.

What happens if you remove Netflix through T-Mobile?
Removing Netflix through T-Mobile stops T-Mobile from being the payment method. If you want to keep the membership, you may need to add another payment method to your Netflix account. T-Mobile’s support information.

The available sources establish the reported price change and T-Mobile’s billing arrangements, but they do not establish how widespread customer anger is. Without a reliable survey or verified complaint count, “users are furious” should not be treated as a measured description of Netflix or T-Mobile customers.
