Suri Cruise was reported to have graduated from New York City’s LaGuardia High School in June 2024. Katie Holmes was reported to be with her at the ceremony. Reports also pointed to a possible college plan at Carnegie Mellon University, but did not confirm that she enrolled.
What is known about Suri Cruise’s graduation?
Vanity Fair Italia reported on June 23, 2024, that Cruise graduated from LaGuardia High School in New York City and that her mother, Katie Holmes, accompanied her. The report also said her father, Tom Cruise, was absent; it did not establish why. Vanity Fair Italia’s event report is a published account, not an official record from the school.
Earlier that month, CBS Pittsburgh described her as a graduating senior at LaGuardia. Taken together, the reports place the milestone in June 2024. CBS Pittsburgh’s June 7 report covered her senior status and a possible next step.
Was she planning to attend Carnegie Mellon?
CBS Pittsburgh reported that a fellow LaGuardia student’s TikTok video, posted for “LaG commitment day” on May 20, 2024, showed Cruise wearing a Carnegie Mellon sweatshirt. The outlet interpreted the video as a sign that she planned to attend Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

That is an indication of a reported plan, not confirmation of current enrollment. CBS said her intended major was not known and that Carnegie Mellon had not responded to its request for comment when the story was published. The available reporting therefore does not establish either her enrollment or what she intended to study.
