It opened on May 4, 2024, and its auction stages closed on May 14. PerthNow reported that the collection included more than 1,000 pieces and had a pre-sale estimate of $20,000–$30,000; that estimate was not a confirmed result.
What was the May the Fourth Star Wars auction?
Ross’s Auctioneers & Valuers organized the sale as an online auction of a single vendor’s lifetime collection. PerthNow reported that the first item in the collection had been purchased in 1985, citing auction representative Warren Henry. The auction house’s archived catalog marks the event as a past auction, rather than a sale still open to bidders.
The sale began at 12:01 a.m. on May 4, 2024, and was divided into stages that closed on May 14. The date made it a May the Fourth sale, but the auction itself is historical. PerthNow’s 2024 report and Ross’s Auctioneers & Valuers’ archived auction catalog document the event.
What collectibles were listed?
The catalog included figures from Kenner and Hasbro ranges, among them The Vintage Collection, The Black Series, The Saga Collection and The Clone Wars. Lots featured characters such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Darth Vader, R5-D4 and Boba Fett. The newspaper report highlighted Kenner figures as a notable part of the lifetime collection.

The catalog offers examples of what appeared in this particular collection and records some closed lot bids. It does not establish a broad market benchmark for Star Wars figures: the sale covered selected items, and the evidence available here does not give a verified total result. For a comparison with another auction or a retail figure, check the precise character and release, condition and packaging, lot description, buyer’s premium, inspection options, payment deadline and collection or shipping arrangements.

The report provides no underlying survey or method, so the figure should be understood as his attributed estimate, not an independently verified population statistic.
