His release and homecoming are confirmed; a return to filming or the cast of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys is not.
What happened to Steve McBee Sr.?
McBee pleaded guilty in November 2024 to one federal count of crop insurance fraud. Bravo reports that the conduct involved fraudulent crop reporting from 2018 to 2020 and more than $3 million in federal crop insurance and premium subsidies, attributing those details to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Bravo’s case timeline reports a sentence of 24 months in prison, two years of supervised release, and $4,022,124 in restitution.
That distinction matters: this was not simply an ongoing FBI investigation. The guilty plea and sentence are reported as resolved federal criminal proceedings. Bravo’s coverage is the basis for the case details here; this account does not independently review a court judgment.
When did he come home?
Bravo reports that McBee reported to prison on December 1, 2025, and was released on September 11, 2026. The release date is not the date of the article announcing it: Bravo’s update appeared later in September. In its release report, Bravo says Steven McBee Jr. confirmed his father had arrived home at the Missouri farm. The family had prepared McBee Sr.’s lodge and created a home office for him.

What could his return mean for the family business?
His arrival may change how the family works, but the available reporting does not establish a new crisis caused by his release. Galyna Saltkovska anticipated an effect on the businesses and said she was unsure what to expect. Bravo quoted her: “It’s definitely going to affect [the business]. He is crazy hungry to get back to business, obviously. He was on vacation for the last nine months, so… It’s going to be interesting. I am unsure what to expect.”
While his father was away, Steven McBee Jr. described the family’s effort to take on more responsibility. In Bravo’s case timeline, he said: “By the time my dad gets out, our businesses are going to be in the best shape they’ve ever been in,” adding that the period gave the family a chance “to step up, lead by committee, and for each of us to find our own strengths within the community.” Those comments indicate anticipated tension and a shift in responsibilities—not proof of what will happen now that McBee Sr. is home.
Is Steve McBee Sr. returning to ‘The McBee Dynasty’?
There is no confirmed post-release television return in the available reporting. Bravo says McBee Sr. was not a cast member in Seasons 2 or 3. His personal return to the farm should not be mistaken for an announcement that he is filming again, joining a future season, or appearing in a new episode.
Bravo’s series page describes the family facing prison time and financial pressure as it tries to protect its legacy. That is series context, not evidence that footage of McBee Sr. after his release exists. Likewise, a listing of episodes or seasons does not confirm plans for another season.

Where can you watch the series?
Peacock lists three seasons of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys. Bravo’s series page lists Season 3 episodes through episode 10. These current listings establish where the show is available and what is cataloged; they do not establish a new season or McBee Sr.’s presence in Season 3.
