The dark comedy’s premise turns on a dangerous mismatch: Keane thinks he has found a source of inspiration, while his wife Suzie believes Kollmick is their marriage counselor.
What is Psycho Therapy about?
John Magaro plays Keane, a writer struggling to finish a novel about serial killers. He meets Kollmick, played by Buscemi, in a diner. Kollmick claims to have retired from killing but offers to teach Keane his methods. When Keane brings him into the couple’s life, Suzie (Britt Lower) mistakes him for their marriage counselor.

That misunderstanding gives the film its central comic tension: Kollmick is supposedly helping Keane save his marriage, yet his advice comes from a killer who remains interested in murder. Brainstorm Media’s official synopsis puts it this way: “A writer befriends a retired serial killer in a desperate attempt to find inspiration for his next novel and save his marriage. Covering as his marriage counselor, the killer teaches him his methods as reality becomes deadlier than fiction.”
The trailer report attributes another line to Kollmick: “Marriage is a living organism,” before he adds that he specializes in killing living organisms. The joke belongs to the fictional character; “retired serial killer” describes Kollmick, not Buscemi.

A classification record does not establish which storefront currently carries it. Later, Turkish Film Days Munich listed a festival screening for April 20, 2026, in English with Turkish subtitles; that event is festival context, not evidence of general streaming availability.
