Was Stephanie Vaquer Injured Before Wrestlepalooza? What the Reports Said

Stephanie Vaquer denied an injury before Wrestlepalooza 2025; Paul Levesque later said illness explained her missed television appearances.

Before Wrestlepalooza in September 2025, Stephanie Vaquer denied that she was injured and said she was ready for Raw. After the event, WWE chief content officer Paul Levesque said she had been very sick with a flu-type illness, which explained her missed television appearances. Neither statement established a specific diagnosis. WWE materials from 2026 use injury language in a later storyline, but they do not change what was reported about her 2025 absence.

What Vaquer said before Wrestlepalooza

On September 11, 2025, F4W/WON’s Josh Nason reported that Vaquer addressed social-media rumors about an injury in an interview with Adrian Hernandez. She denied being hurt and said she was ready to appear on Raw the following Monday.

“No, I saw social media. Sometimes, many things are not real. There’s no injuries. I’m ready for Raw next Monday, so no. No injury,” Vaquer said, as quoted by F4W/WON.

The report noted that Vaquer had missed a Raw appearance and that people had offered differing impressions about whether she might have a minor injury. Those impressions were not a confirmed diagnosis; Vaquer’s comment was her own status statement at the time.

Why she missed television

After Wrestlepalooza, Levesque offered an explanation that pointed to illness rather than a confirmed injury. In remarks at the event’s post-show, reported by Pro Wrestling Dot Net on September 21, 2025, he said Vaquer had been very sick in the preceding weeks and linked that illness to her missed television appearances and the unusual build to the event.

“In the last few weeks, Stephanie has been very sick,” Levesque said. He added: “I don’t know the details of what the flu-type thing going on, but she was very sick. It was why she missed the TV and why there was some odd build to it.”

Pro Wrestling Dot Net’s report said Vaquer returned to Raw the following Monday and wrestled on NXT Homecoming the next day. Levesque said he did not know the details of the flu-type illness, so the remarks do not establish a specific disease.

What later WWE updates do—and do not—show

WWE’s August 18, 2026 preview described Vaquer as returning to action against Roxanne Perez after battling back from an injury at the hands of The Judgment Day. That is storyline language, not a medical diagnosis or an explanation of the September 2025 absence. WWE’s October 5, 2026 Raw results documented Vaquer appearing as Women’s World Champion and setting up a triple-threat title match at Money in the Bank. An on-screen appearance confirms she appeared on the show, not that WWE issued a medical clearance notice.

The reviewed sources do not establish Vaquer’s present clinical status or provide a current medical update. The 2025 answer is narrower: she denied an injury before Wrestlepalooza, and Levesque later attributed her missed television appearances to a flu-type illness.
