He also raised the prospect of a hypothetical job paying “10 times more.” The episode account describes a voluntary exit, but it does not establish a confirmed diagnosis or a specific job offer.
What Stephen Baldwin said before leaving
In a report published January 9, 2025, Chrissy Bobic of Distractify described Baldwin speaking with the show doctor after the opening challenge. Baldwin said, “I smashed my meniscus on the helicopter today and my back is in knots and I can’t turn my head past there.” Those are his reported complaints, not a medical diagnosis confirmed by the doctor or an independent medical record.
The same episode account says Baldwin asked the doctor to consider whether he would leave if he had a job lined up that paid “10 times more.” That exchange makes a competing opportunity part of the explanation presented on screen, but it is framed as a hypothetical; the report does not identify or verify an offer.
Was Baldwin eliminated or medically disqualified?
The episode account characterizes his departure as voluntary, not as a vote-based elimination or a confirmed medical disqualification. FOX’s Season 3 announcement describes the format as having “no votes and no eliminations,” while allowing recruits to leave voluntarily, leave because of failure or potential injury, or be removed by directing staff. The reported account does not say that staff ordered Baldwin out.

When and where his exit happened
Baldwin was one of 16 celebrity recruits in Season 3, which premiered January 8, 2025. FOX said the recruits trained in Wales and described the season as a five-week event. The episode account says Baldwin completed the opening challenge, which involved jumping from a moving boat to a helicopter, before speaking with the doctor and leaving.

- Established in the episode account: Baldwin described a suspected meniscus injury and back stiffness, discussed a hypothetical higher-paying job, and left voluntarily during the premiere.
- Not established: a doctor-confirmed injury, a specific outside job offer, or that either physical concerns or the hypothetical opportunity alone was the sole reason he left.
In a separate January 2025 interview with Fox News Digital, Baldwin called the experience “life-changing” and said faith was “a tremendous asset.” That retrospective comment describes his view of the experience; it does not clarify why he departed early.
