Before the film’s release, fans proposed that Maddie Wachowski’s bright pink promotional outfit might hint at Amy Rose. Amy does appear in the released film’s credits scene, but that later reveal does not establish that the outfit was an intentional clue.
What was the Sonic 3 spoiler theory?
A November 24, 2024 report by Madelyn Champa, reproduced by IMDb from CBR, described an X post interpreting Maddie Wachowski’s bright pink outfit in promotional material as a possible nod to Amy Rose. The theory drew on fans’ perceived pattern of character-related color clues in earlier franchise installments. It was a fan reading of the outfit, not an announcement or confirmation from Paramount or the filmmakers. Read the reported theory.
Does Amy Rose appear in Sonic the Hedgehog 3?
Yes. The released film includes an Amy Rose appearance in a closing-credits scene, as reflected in IMDb’s credits listing. That confirms the broad prediction that Amy would appear, but it does not confirm why Maddie wore pink in the promotional material. See the film’s credits listing.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Was Maddie’s pink outfit deliberately foreshadowing Amy?
The available evidence does not establish that. Paramount’s official film page identifies Sonic the Hedgehog 3 as a 2024 film and lists its cast, including Keanu Reeves as Shadow; it does not say Maddie’s outfit was designed as an Amy Rose clue. No relevant statement from a filmmaker, costume designer, or studio representative confirming that intent appears in the sources cited here. Paramount’s official film page.
The careful conclusion is that fans noticed a possible visual clue and the character they predicted later appeared. The match makes the theory interesting in hindsight, but it is not proof of a planted spoiler.
