Mary Fowler and Nathan Cleary were photographed walking Cleary’s dog Prince near his home in Penrith, New South Wales, in an outing reported by PerthNow on 17 August 2024. The report described the pair holding hands; it was a historical sighting, not a current update.
What happened on the walk?
PerthNow reported that Fowler had returned to Australia after the Olympics when she and Cleary were photographed walking Prince near Cleary’s Penrith home. The outlet described the outing as a reunion after Cleary’s recent shoulder injury and said the pair held hands. These details come from PerthNow’s account of the 2024 sighting; the photographs were credited to Media-Mode.
The report described Fowler in camouflage trousers, a fitted grey T-shirt and a leather jacket, and Cleary in a white T-shirt and cream shorts. It did not identify clothing brands.
Who are Mary Fowler and Nathan Cleary?
Fowler is an Australian footballer and Matildas player. Cleary is a Penrith NRL player. PerthNow’s 2024 report identified Fowler as an Australian Olympian and football forward.

Who is Prince, Nathan Cleary’s dog?
Prince is Cleary’s dog. The Guardian later described him as a groodle in a 2 October 2024 feature about Cleary. In that feature, published on the eve of Penrith’s 2024 grand final, Cleary joked: “He doesn’t say much, he just licks my face.”
Are Fowler and Cleary still together?
In an ABC News report published 30 September 2026, Cleary referred to Fowler as his girlfriend. At the time, Fowler was playing for Manchester City in England. That relationship context is separate from the August 2024 walk.
