Solo Leveling’s Season 2, Episode 12 is overall Episode 24, titled “Are You the King of Humans.” Its central event is the long-awaited confrontation between Sung Jinwoo and the Ant King, Beru. Calling it a “10/10” captures the excitement of many fans, but it is a reaction—not a verified industry score or a measured consensus.
Which episode is Season 2, Episode 12?
The numbering can be confusing: this is the twelfth episode of Season 2 and the series’ twenty-fourth overall. The season listing gives it the English title “Are You the King of Humans.” ORICON’s March 24, 2025 preview identifies the installment as Episode 24 (Season 2 Episode 12) and highlights Jin-Woo facing the winged ant. What makes the Jinwoo–Beru confrontation feel like a major event?
The draw is the matchup itself: Jinwoo faces the Ant King of Jeju Island, whom fans identify as Beru. The episode’s title, “Are You the King of Humans,” frames the confrontation around a question of status and power, while the anticipation built around Jinwoo meeting an imposing opponent gives the fight narrative weight beyond spectacle. A CBR opinion piece syndicated by IMDb likewise presents the encounter as the long-awaited fight between Sung Jinwoo and the Ant King.
That makes the “10/10” case a matter of what the sequence delivers for a viewer: the payoff of the anticipated clash, the contrast between Beru’s threat and Jinwoo’s arrival, and the appeal of watching their confrontation unfold. These are reasons a fan might rate the scene at the top of their personal scale, not independently established measurements of animation quality or universal agreement.

Did fans really call it a 10/10?
Some did. In the March 22, 2025 Episode 24 discussion thread on Reddit, individual commenters called it “an absolute 10/10” and wrote “Fight was PEAK!” One commenter went further, calling it “the single greatest episode of any show I’ve ever watched.” Those remarks show the intensity of some fans’ enthusiasm, but the thread is an informal discussion, not a representative poll or an authoritative rating record. Why “historic” is a fan-facing claim, not a proven record
“Historic 10/10” is best read as enthusiastic editorial framing. The available episode coverage and discussion establish the installment, its featured matchup, and strong individual praise; they do not establish a formal 10/10 score, a representative audience average, or a historical comparison showing this is anime’s greatest fight. The CBR article’s headline uses that “historic” framing as opinion, not as a documented industry designation.

There is also disagreement in the discussion. Alongside praise, some fans criticize aspects of the fight’s execution or adaptation choices, and others compare it unfavorably with action sequences in other series. That mix matters: a memorable fight can be a personal favorite without being universally acclaimed.
