Para Sofía Castro, compartir por primera vez un set con su madre, la actriz Angélica Rivera, cumplió un deseo que tenía desde niña y desde que comenzó su carrera. La oportunidad llegó con la serie Con esa misma mirada, donde Castro interpreta a Antonia y Rivera a Eloísa.
Un sueño que se concretó en Con esa misma mirada
En una entrevista publicada por People en Español el 24 de marzo de 2025, Castro describió la experiencia de trabajar con Rivera como “una experiencia bien bonita”. También recordó que tenía muchas ganas de hacer un proyecto con su madre: “Desde que era chiquita y desde que empecé mi carrera tenía muchas ganas de hacer esto con ella”. Dijo sentirse agradecida por haber podido cumplir ese sueño.
La entrevista de N+ del 12 de marzo de 2025 también presentó la serie como la primera colaboración de madre e hija en un set y conversó con Castro antes del estreno de la producción en ViX.
El casting y el primer trabajo juntas
Según el recuerdo de Castro recogido por People en Español, ella y Rivera hicieron el casting juntas. Castro también mencionó al director Moisés Urquidi en relación con el montaje inicial de la relación entre sus personajes. Su relato sitúa esa primera experiencia compartida en el proceso de casting y el trabajo de la serie; no la presenta como el debut actoral de ninguna de las dos.

Antonia y Eloísa: madre e hija también en la ficción
En la serie, Rivera interpreta a Eloísa y Castro a Antonia, su hija. Castro adelantó que sus personajes tendrían enfrentamientos y contó que disfrutó grabarlos junto a su madre: “Fue muy divertido poder grabar estas escenas con mi mamá, las gozamos mucho”.
La anécdota combina así una colaboración profesional que Castro esperaba desde hacía años con una historia de ficción en la que ambas actrices también interpretan a madre e hija.
