Mel B, the Spice Girls singer also known as Scary Spice, shared the proposal story on the UK programme Celebrity Gogglebox. She said McPhee proposed during a getaway in Berkshire, at Cliveden, with rose petals and a log fire. E! News reported her account on 29 October 2022. E! News
Mel B recalled McPhee saying: “I love you, you’re my best friend and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” The words are her recollection of the proposal on the programme, not an independently recorded transcript.

Mel B and Rory McPhee are now married
The 2022 announcement was an engagement update, not their current relationship status. Mel B and McPhee married at St Paul’s Cathedral in London on 5 July 2025.
