What was the Shark Tank Pakistan pitch?
The Economic Times reported on December 25, 2024, that the pitch at the center of the discussion asked for PKR 300 crore in exchange for a 3% stake. The outlet gave an approximate equivalent of ₹91 crore; that is its reported conversion at the time, not a current exchange-rate calculation. The Economic Times report described the exchange as part of Mittal and Gupta’s conversation with Hegde.
Hindustan Times also reported the PKR 300 crore ask for 3% equity, saying the contestant called the amount “peanuts” for the investors. Its account characterized the Pakistani judges as baffled by the request.
The reports do not name the contestant or supply enough information about the business, its financials, or the proposed deal’s terms to independently judge the valuation. The reported ask alone does not establish whether the pitch was accepted or what ultimately happened.

How did Anupam Mittal and Aman Gupta react?
Mittal said some clips made him laugh
The Economic Times quoted Mittal saying: “I’ll be honest, I’ve seen some clips and laughed really hard because there are things that are fundamentally technically wrong in terms of the investments and so on.” The remark was his reaction to clips and investment proposals he had seen, rather than a documented assessment of every pitch or episode.
Gupta said he had watched clips, not full episodes
Hindustan Times reported that Gupta had not watched full episodes of Shark Tank Pakistan, but had seen clips that interested him. That distinction matters: his comments should not be read as a verdict based on viewing the series in full.

Mittal also asked what was happening
Hindustan Times quoted Mittal asking, “Bhai ho raha kya hai wahan pe? (What is happening there?)” The outlet linked the reaction to the pitch discussion, including the reported request and the contestant’s “peanuts” characterization.

Mittal also broadened the conversation beyond the pitch. The Economic Times quoted him saying, “See when you don’t have economic growth, you will create trouble,” and reported that he considered it in India’s interest for Shark Tank Pakistan to inspire productivity. Those are Mittal’s views as reported in the interview; they do not independently establish the state of a country’s economy or the effect a television show can have on it.

What the reports do—and do not—establish
