Sheamus showed visible bruising and welts across his chest after his May 6, 2024 match against Gunther on WWE Raw. Gunther won their first-round King of the Ring tournament bout by submission. Sheamus later posted a photo of the marks with the caption: “There will be no part 4.” Contemporary coverage documented the appearance of his chest, but did not report a medical diagnosis.
Why Sheamus’ chest was bruised after the match
The two wrestlers exchanged hard chops to the chest during the match. Afterward, Sheamus shared a photo showing bruising and raised welts. The word “battered” describes what was visible in the photo; it is not a confirmed medical assessment.
Wrestling Inc.’s May 7, 2024 report covered the post-match image and caption.
