D4vd was removed from Spilt Milk’s 2025 lineup and did not perform at the festival. The lineup change was reported on September 22, 2025, and organisers confirmed three days later that he would not appear. The decision followed news about the discovery of Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s body in a Tesla registered to the singer; it should not be read as evidence that organisers had concluded he committed a crime.
What happened to D4vd’s Spilt Milk booking?
D4vd was included when Spilt Milk announced its 2025 lineup in May. On September 22, PerthNow reported that his name and image had disappeared from the festival website. The outlet said organisers had not yet addressed the change.
On September 25, Canberra Daily reported that organisers confirmed he would not perform and said they were working on a replacement booking. The outlet quoted them: “Last week we removed d4vd from our website and marketing out of respect for the unfolding story.” They added: “We can now confirm d4vd will not perform at Split Milk and we are working on a replacement booking which we’ll announce as soon as it’s finalised.” The quote uses “Split Milk”; the festival styles its name “Spilt Milk.”
Why was he removed?
The organisers’ stated explanation was that the removal was made “out of respect for the unfolding story.” Their reported statement did not say they believed D4vd had committed a crime. The news concerned the investigation into the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was found in a Tesla in Los Angeles on September 8, 2025, according to a later chronology from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Timing matters: an Associated Press report on September 19, 2025, said police had not then said D4vd was implicated. That was the public reporting at that date, before criminal charges were later filed; it does not describe the subsequent status of the case.
Did D4vd perform at Spilt Milk 2025?
No. Organisers confirmed on September 25, 2025, that he would not perform and that they were seeking a replacement. This was a confirmed withdrawal from the lineup, not merely a removal of his name and image from the website.

How the criminal case later developed
On July 27, 2026, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said a Superior Court judge had ordered David Anthony Burke, known as D4vd, to stand trial on charges including murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains. A judge’s order to stand trial is not a conviction. The detailed allegations and descriptions of evidence in the office’s release are the prosecution’s account, not findings of guilt.
The District Attorney’s Office stated: “The charges filed in this case are allegations. The defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.”

This is normal and does not indicate a product defect. Please see our dedicated crease recovery video in the main product video section for step-by-step instructions. Simply unroll the mats, lay them flat in a warm environment, and allow them to recover naturally. For stubborn creases, gently warm the affected area with a hair dryer on low heat while smoothing it by hand. Do not use high heat or place the heat source directly against the mat. Most creases will gradually disappear with proper recovery and normal use.

On August 31, 2026, the Associated Press reported that Burke had entered a new not-guilty plea after his private attorneys withdrew and a public defender took over. AP reported that no trial date had been set at that time. These later developments changed the case’s procedural status, but they do not change what the festival said about its lineup decision in September 2025.
