En entrevistas de 2024 también habló de la tranquilidad que buscaba para él, de sus vínculos con México y de cómo organizaba la vida familiar y el trabajo.
La mudanza empezó por un proyecto de televisión
En una entrevista publicada por People en Español el 12 de agosto de 2024, Sherlyn contó que el traslado a Miami comenzó aproximadamente un año antes, por su participación en ¡Mira quién baila!. Luego optó por quedarse: “Me mudé al principio por un proyecto, que fue ¡Mira quién baila!, y después me quedé ahí porque me parece que es un buen entorno para que crezca mi hijo”.
Así, el compromiso profesional fue el motivo inicial, pero la decisión de continuar viviendo allí estuvo ligada principalmente a la crianza de André.
Por qué consideró Miami un buen lugar para su hijo
En declaraciones recogidas por ¡HOLA! US el 24 de abril de 2024, Sherlyn dijo que quería que su hijo tuviera un ambiente más tranquilo y no pasara tanto tiempo en el tráfico. También expresó que deseaba que pudiera disfrutar plenamente su infancia. Esas razones describen su perspectiva como madre, no una evaluación independiente de las condiciones de vida en Miami.

En la misma cobertura habló de la multiculturalidad de la ciudad como algo enriquecedor para los niños. Señaló que André, entonces cerca de cumplir cuatro años, ya tenía los dos idiomas, y valoró que creciera en un entorno con una importante presencia latina.
La mudanza no significó cortar sus lazos con México
Sherlyn contó que al principio le daba miedo dejar México, donde se sentía rodeada de familiares y amigos. En la entrevista de agosto recordó que el cambio le hizo ver que el afecto puede mantenerse aunque las personas no vivan en el mismo lugar: “cuando la gente te ama y cuando tú amas a la gente no necesariamente tienes que estar en el mismo lugar para que el amor se mantenga y perdure en el tiempo”.

En abril explicó que mantenía cerca a sus padres, una tía y otros familiares, y que seguía viajando entre México y Miami por trabajo. Por eso, presentó su vida en Miami como un cambio de residencia, no como una ruptura con sus vínculos mexicanos.

En agosto de ese año, Sherlyn relató una agenda centrada en su hijo: llevarlo al colegio, prepararle el almuerzo, recogerlo y acompañarlo a actividades como fútbol o equitación, además de ir al parque. Dijo que escribía y estudiaba cuando encontraba tiempo. También afirmó que, después de más de 30 años trabajando, había encontrado un equilibrio entre la familia y su carrera y se sentía plena.
