The available evidence does not confirm that Shonen Jump announced a Hunter x Hunter return. Secondary search listings point to two different possibilities—a manga chapter resuming publication or Hisoka reappearing in the story—but establish neither as an official announcement.
What is confirmed—and what is not
The surfaced listings do not verify an announcement from Shueisha or VIZ, identify an announcement date, or give a confirmed chapter number. They also do not establish separate Japanese and English release dates. As a result, the headline should not be read as confirmation that a new chapter has been scheduled.
One secondary listing describes coverage of a Hunter x Hunter chapter returning in June 2026, with another chapter expected the following week. The listing does not provide direct official confirmation. A separate secondary listing connects “return” with Hisoka, but supplies no chapter citation or story context. Neither listing resolves what the headline means.
Why “return” is ambiguous
In manga coverage, a return can mean that the series resumes publishing after a hiatus, or that a character appears again in the story. The surfaced results suggest both interpretations: one concerns chapter publication, while the other mentions Hisoka. They do not establish that either event was announced by Shonen Jump.

What would verify a chapter announcement
A reliable confirmation would identify the original announcement from Shueisha or VIZ, its publication date and intended market, and the chapter number. Japanese serialization and English-language availability should be checked separately; a date for one market does not establish the date for the other.

The evidence supports only a cautious conclusion: secondary listings have described a possible chapter return and separately hinted at a Hisoka story return, but the announcement, its date, and the exact event remain unverified. Hunter x Hunter is a manga by Yoshihiro Togashi, but the available listing does not establish a particular volume or edition.
