Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran arrived on March 22, 2024. Her 12th studio album and first in seven years, it brings together new recordings, collaborations and seven singles released before the album. Track counts differ by listing: Sony describes a 16-track album, while Apple Music lists 17 songs.
When did Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran come out?
The album was released on March 22, 2024. Sony Music Canada called it Shakira’s 12th studio album and her first album in seven years in its release announcement.
How many songs are on the album?
The count depends on the listing. Sony’s announcement calls Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran a 16-track record, and its numbered track list has 16 entries. The same Sony page separately names “Puntería (Vinyl Version),” while Apple Music’s album listing shows 17 songs. These sources therefore present different counts; the vinyl-version entry is one reason to check the specific edition or service listing rather than assume every format has identical contents.
What songs and collaborations are on it?
Sony’s numbered list includes eight new songs, a remix and seven previously released singles. The new collaborations named in Sony’s announcement are Cardi B, Bizarrap, Rauw Alejandro and Grupo Frontera; Tiësto appears on a remix. Earlier singles on the album feature Ozuna, Karol G, Manuel Turizo and Fuerza Regida.

Sony’s page also lists “Puntería (Vinyl Version)” separately from those 16 numbered entries. The 16-track description, the additional vinyl-version listing and Apple Music’s 17-song count should be understood as differences between source listings, not silently treated as a universal track count.
Why is the album significant in Shakira’s career?
Its place as her first album in seven years makes it a return after a long gap between studio albums. The record also gathers a run of singles that Sony said had already built a large audience: in its March 2024 announcement, the label reported 3.7 billion combined Spotify plays for the seven previously released tracks. That was Sony’s figure at release time, not a current listening total.

The album’s personal dimension came through in Shakira’s remarks to the Associated Press. In a March 25, 2024 interview, she described rebuilding after difficult years: “I’ve been through so much in these past few years that I had to literally pick up the pieces of myself and put them back together,” she said, adding, “during that process, I think that music was the glue.” The Associated Press interview frames songwriting as a source of catharsis and a way to work through that experience.
What styles does the album explore?
The sound moves among pop, EDM, rap, reggaeton and balladry. Apple Music’s editorial notes also point to música mexicana collaborations and bachata. These are useful descriptions of the album’s range, not a definitive genre classification for every track.

Are there vinyl editions, and how do they differ?
Official Sony pages document a 2LP vinyl product and colored editions, but their retailer and availability details are regional and historical. Sony Music Canada described a Sapphire edition as exclusive to Amazon Canada; Sony Music Spain’s store page describes a Sapphire Amazon-exclusive in Spain and four artwork-and-color variants. Those statements do not establish current stock, price or identical contents across regions.
If you are looking for a Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran vinyl or Shakira album on vinyl, check the seller’s current listing for the edition name, color, region, and whether it includes “Puntería (Vinyl Version).” Sony’s track page lists that version separately, so do not assume it appears on every physical or streaming edition.
