When did Serpentine Falls Tavern reopen?
PerthNow reported on 29 November 2024 that the tavern had soft-reopened in late October, following a six-year closure for renovations. The reopening report describes the timing of the return; it does not establish the venue’s current schedule.

What changed in the renovation?
The tavern says the building was originally the Serpentine Falls Hotel, built in 1903. Its stated aim was to restore some heritage features while bringing the building up to a contemporary standard. The owners’ account therefore describes a balance between preserving historic character and modernizing the venue, rather than a return to an untouched original interior.
The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale’s confirmed council minutes classify the heritage building as Category 2 on the Shire’s Heritage List and Local Heritage Survey, describing it as important to the locality. The minutes identify the existing modified style as Federation Queen Anne.

What was reported about dining?
In its 2024 reopening coverage, PerthNow described a restaurant bar, a back restaurant and a front bar. It named wood-fired pizzas, chicken wings, scotch fillet steak and tempura prawns as examples from the menu at that time. Those dishes and the reported layout are historical details, not confirmation of what is currently available.

How to book and check before visiting
The official site says the tavern is back open and recommends booking. Its homepage does not establish current daily opening hours, so confirm the day’s hours and menu with the venue before travelling. The Wednesday-to-Sunday schedule included in PerthNow’s 2024 report is period-specific and should not be relied on as current.
The venue also says it cannot guarantee meals are completely free of trace allergens. Anyone with an allergy should contact the tavern directly before ordering.
