What happened at SoFi Stadium?
Bieber made an unannounced appearance during SZA’s set and joined her for “Snooze.” The show was part of the Grand National Tour, which SZA was co-headlining with Kendrick Lamar. The performance took place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California—not in the city of Los Angeles itself, though it was the tour’s Los Angeles-area stop.

Why was the performance notable?
“Snooze” had already connected the artists on record: the song appears on SZA’s SOS, and Bieber features on its acoustic version. But reports from Billboard Canada and Rolling Stone AU/NZ identify the SoFi Stadium appearance as their first time performing the song together onstage.
Bieber had performed “Snooze” solo at a Toronto mini-gig in February 2024, Rolling Stone AU/NZ reported. That earlier performance was not a duet with SZA.

How does the 2025 appearance differ from the Coachella duet?
SZA later joined Bieber to perform “Snooze” during his Coachella Weekend Two set in April 2026, according to Pitchfork. Bieber’s official YouTube channel subsequently published an audio recording titled “SNOOZE (LIVE FROM COACHELLA (Weekend II) / Audio)” on July 2, 2026.
| Performance | When and where | What happened |
|---|---|---|
| SoFi Stadium | May 23, 2025; Inglewood, California | Bieber joined SZA during her set; reports describe it as their first live performance of “Snooze” together. |
| Coachella Weekend Two | April 2026; Indio, California | SZA joined Bieber during his set. Bieber’s official channel later released an audio recording of the performance. |
The two appearances are easy to mix up: at SoFi, Bieber joined SZA; at Coachella, SZA joined Bieber. The later festival performance does not change the reported status of the May 2025 show as their first live duet.
