King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s 2024 Christmas card features a portrait of the couple standing together in the garden at Buckingham Palace. The photograph was taken in April—not during the Christmas season—and the card was revealed on December 7, 2024.
What does the 2024 Christmas card look like?
The card shows the King and Queen together in a garden setting at Buckingham Palace. Reports describe a portrait made outdoors, not a Christmas-decorated scene.
When was the photograph taken?
The portrait was taken in April 2024. Town & Country dates it to April 10, the day after the couple’s 19th wedding anniversary. Its December 7 public reveal was the card’s release date, not the date of the photograph.
Who took the photograph?
ITV News and The Independent credit Millie Pilkington, while a Sky News search-result description names Hugo Burnand. Because those accounts conflict and no Palace source in the available reporting settles the discrepancy, the photographer credit is not certain.
