Qué dijo Ligarde sobre su hija
En una entrevista con el programa mexicano Venga la alegría, reproducida por People en Español el 1 de noviembre de 2022, Ligarde afirmó que no estaba en contacto con Dawn Amedee. Dijo que no quería acercarse a ella únicamente porque estaba enfermo y que la relación estaba tensa.
En esa misma cobertura, Ligarde explicó: “No me estoy comunicando con ella, no quiero que porque estoy enfermo, ‘ay, ya me voy a acercar y ya voy a ser buena onda’”. También dijo que no había intentado acercarse porque las cosas estaban tensas y que no iba a rogar. La nota inicial no detalló más los motivos del distanciamiento.
Por qué estaban distanciados
En una cobertura posterior de 2022 sobre su salud, Ligarde atribuyó el distanciamiento a diferencias políticas y afirmó que amaba incondicionalmente a su hija. Esa es la explicación que él dio después; la información publicada no permite establecer por cuenta propia todos los motivos de la relación ni las perspectivas de ambas partes.

La posibilidad de cáncer era una incertidumbre en la cobertura inicial, no un diagnóstico confirmado. Ligarde había contado que llevaba meses atendiendo dos tumores de colon y que los informes disponibles no coincidían sobre si eran benignos. En la actualización posterior, informó que el tumor extirpado del ciego era un lipoma y dijo que no tenía cáncer. Así lo reportaron Univision Famosos y Telemundo Entretenimiento en sus actualizaciones de 2022.
¿Se reconciliaron?
Las fuentes citadas describen lo que Ligarde dijo en 2022, pero no verifican si él y Dawn Amedee retomaron el contacto después. Por eso, no se puede afirmar que actualmente sigan distanciados ni que se hayan reconciliado.
