The pool photos behind the “new photos” headline were covered on March 28, 2025—not newly posted in October 2026. At the time, they circulated amid reports that Sydney Sweeney and her then-fiancé, Jonathan Davino, had put their planned wedding on hold. The photos did not confirm a breakup; later reporting said the couple split in March 2025.
What Sydney Sweeney’s pool photos showed
In a March 28, 2025 report republishing an InStyle piece, AOL described vacation images Sweeney shared on Instagram. One showed her floating in a teal-blue pool in a white bikini with black trim and strings; the next slide was an underwater video. The coverage also described a separate beach image of Sweeney in a pink-and-white off-shoulder minidress.
TMZ’s March 28 coverage also discussed vacation pictures, including the minidress, and noted that Sweeney had not tagged her location. Neither report establishes where the pool was.
Did the photos confirm a breakup?
No. The images showed Sweeney on vacation; they did not establish her relationship status. Contemporary coverage connected the posts to breakup speculation because reports said her planned May wedding to Davino had been postponed and because commentators interpreted social-media activity and Davino’s absence from the posts as possible signs of a split. Those were reports and interpretations, not confirmation from the photos.

The AOL/InStyle report cited TMZ’s earlier wedding-postponement coverage, an unnamed source quoted by People as saying, “Things have been rocky for a long time,” and an Us Weekly source who said the couple were working on their relationship while the wedding was called off for the time being. These were statements attributed to anonymous sources through those publications, not comments from Sweeney.
What later reporting said about Sweeney and Davino
The original March 28 coverage belongs to the period when the wedding was reported to be on hold. In an August 4, 2025 retrospective timeline, The Standard said People reported the split on March 31, 2025. The Standard also recounted Sweeney later describing herself as single and saying she was spending more time with friends and “loving it.” That later context means the March photos should not be presented as a current breakup rumor.

Can you identify the bikini?
No brand or model is identified in the cited coverage. The description supports calling it a white bikini with black trim and strings, but not naming a designer, linking a specific product as the exact swimsuit, or implying Sweeney endorsed one.

The pool-photo coverage at issue is dated March 28, 2025. A September 2026 Complex search-result summary refers to a later summer photo dump, but does not establish that it shows the same pool-photo event. The dates and available descriptions do not support treating the 2025 images as new in 2026.
