Did Louis Rees-Zammit’s move toward the NFL cause the split?
No cited report establishes that. The Associated Press reported on 22 March 2024 that Rees-Zammit attended an NFL international player pro day, after deciding in January to pursue an NFL career following rugby. That provides contemporaneous career context, not evidence of a cause for the breakup. The Associated Press account does not connect his career move to Barker’s statement.
