Release and recording
Sony Music announced LUX as Rosalía’s fourth full-length work, released November 7, 2025, via Columbia Records. The label credits Rosalía as executive producer and says she recorded the album with the London Symphony Orchestra under conductor Daníel Bjarnason. Sony describes an emotional arc that moves between intimacy and operatic scale, bringing together sound, language, and culture. Featured artists and ensembles
Sony Music names Björk, Carminho, Estrella Morente, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Yahritza, the Escolania de Montserrat and Cor Cambra Palau de la Música Catalana, and Yves Tumor among the album’s featured voices. Apple Music specifically credits Björk and Yves Tumor on “Berghain.” The cited official album materials do not assign each of the other collaborators to a particular track, so those names are best treated as album-level credits unless a track-specific credit is separately verified. Sony Music Canada lists album collaborators, while Apple Music identifies the “Berghain” features.

Sony Music frames LUX around feminine mystique, transformation, and spirituality. In an Apple Music interview, Rosalía said she studied women of faith including Saint Rose of Lima, Anandamayi Ma, Hildegard von Bingen, and Rabia al-Adawiyya, drawing on their stories and languages. Apple Music describes music that moves among flamenco, orchestral writing, urbano bass, Auto-Tune, and strings; that description does not mean every element appears on every track.
In the same interview, Rosalía contrasted the album with her previous record: “MOTOMAMI was minimalist. This is maximalism.” She also said, “I don’t think I ever cried so much making an album. I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much recording vocals.” Both statements are published in Apple Music’s interview and album listing.
