What Robert Plant says about Saving Grace

What is Saving Grace?
Saving Grace is Plant’s band as well as the title of its debut album. Vocalist Suzi Dian is part of the group. Nonesuch Records describes the album as breathing fresh life into a collection of century-old music, drawing on roots traditions that include blues, folk, gospel, country, and music that moves between them. Nonesuch’s album announcement identifies Plant and Saving Grace as the producers.
How the band and album came together
According to Nonesuch, Saving Grace began at Plant’s home in the Welsh borderlands in 2019. The collaborators spent about a year experimenting and appeared without announcement as an opening act on some Fairport Convention dates. The pandemic interrupted their formal plans.
