The sources do not establish further technical details about how the process worked.

What happened to Randy Travis in 2013?
Warner’s announcement says Travis suffered a stroke in 2013 that left him with aphasia and limited speech. The release’s significance is that he was involved in a new recording despite those reported effects. CBS News also reported on the release and its AI-assisted vocal process.
Why the human involvement matters
This release was presented as an artist-involved project, rather than an example of an unauthorized imitation or a wholly autonomous AI performance.
