Peter Frampton was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2024, and the Hall’s official Peter Frampton inductee page is the best place to start. It identifies Roger Daltrey as his inducer and has an “Acceptance Speech” section, but the page’s accessible text does not provide a readable transcript. For the full remarks, use the ceremony recording; a third-party subtitle transcript can help you locate the speech, but verify any wording against the recording.
Where to find Peter Frampton’s speech
Open the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s official Peter Frampton page. It identifies Frampton as a 2024 Performer inductee and includes an “Acceptance Speech” section. The accessible page text does not expose a transcript, so the ceremony recording is the primary option for hearing his complete remarks.

Frampton’s acceptance speech and Daltrey’s induction speech are different
Roger Daltrey of The Who introduced Frampton at the ceremony, then Frampton delivered his own acceptance speech. Daltrey’s remarks are not part of Frampton’s speech. The Hall’s page and the Associated Press both identify Daltrey as the inducer.

- Peter Frampton is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, guitar god, hit songwriter, and kind human being
At the October 19, 2024 ceremony at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Daltrey opened with, “All I can say is that it’s about bloody time.” The Associated Press also quoted Daltrey saying, “Peter has had the most amazing career of all time. It’s probably easier to name the people he hasn’t worked with than the people he has.” Both are Daltrey quotations, not Frampton’s acceptance remarks.
What else happened at the ceremony
Frampton performed “Do You Feel Like We Do” with Keith Urban, using his talk box. That performance was separate from the acceptance speech. Keeping the introduction, acceptance remarks and musical performance distinct helps when searching for a particular segment of the ceremony.

Why Frampton’s induction mattered
The Hall’s 2024 program essay describes the scale of Frampton’s breakthrough. Frampton Comes Alive! spent ten weeks at the top of the charts and eventually sold more than eight million copies in the United States alone, according to the essay. It calls the record the best-selling live album of all time up to that point. “Show Me the Way” and “Do You Feel Like We Do” reached the Top Ten; “Baby, I Love Your Way” reached Number Twelve.
The Hall’s inductee profile characterizes Frampton’s sound as blues-based melodic rock and notes his work with the Herd, Humble Pie, George Harrison and Harry Nilsson, as well as his use of the talk box and 2007 Grammy. These are career context, not words from his acceptance speech.

Quoting the acceptance speech accurately
The accessible official Hall page does not provide Frampton’s speech wording, and no sentence from his acceptance speech is verified here as an exact quotation. If you quote the speech, listen to the ceremony recording and confirm the words there rather than attributing a line from Daltrey’s introduction or relying solely on the third-party subtitle transcript.
