Reba McEntire stars in Happy’s Place, an NBC sitcom about a woman who inherits a Tennessee tavern and discovers her new business partner is her previously unknown half-sister. NBC has renewed the series for the 2026–27 season, and McEntire’s official acting page says season 3 returns in fall 2026. An exact premiere date has not been announced in the official sources cited here.
What is Happy’s Place about?
McEntire plays Bobbie, who inherits her late father’s Tennessee tavern. She then learns that her new co-owner is Isabella, a half-sister she never knew existed. NBC describes the pair as very different women figuring out their new life together.
The premise brings family discovery and grief into a workplace comedy setting. In launch-era interviews with the Associated Press, McEntire described the show’s focus on love, hope, faith, happiness, energy, and light; Belissa Escobedo, who plays Isabella, spoke about exploring grief alongside comedy. These remarks describe the series’ original themes, not new comments about season 3. Read the Associated Press report.
