Ally Romano and Zachary Wilezol married on September 21, 2024, at the New York Public Library’s landmark Fifth Avenue building in New York City. PEOPLE reported that 254 guests attended the evening celebration, which paired the grand library setting with details tied to the couple’s New York story and Ally’s family.
Why they chose the New York Public Library
Manhattan was meaningful to Ally and Zachary because it was where they met and fell in love. Ally told PEOPLE, “We wanted a venue that encapsulated the city and would be appreciated by all.” The library was their first venue visit; although they considered other locations, it felt right to them. Their ceremony began at 7 p.m., according to PEOPLE.

The ceremony blended family and personal touches
Ray Romano walked Ally down the aisle as strings played Etta James’s “At Last.” Ally wore a two-piece duchess-silk outfit by Israeli designer Dana Harel, sourced from Mark Ingram, in a candlelight shade. Her veil featured peach flowers and green leaves. She also carried a piece of her mother Anna Romano’s wedding dress in her bouquet and wore her mother’s earrings and bracelet.
The couple’s friend Ben Eisenstein officiated, and Ally and Zachary exchanged handwritten vows. Ally described the ceremony to PEOPLE this way: “I loved our ceremony. It was light, sweet, emotional and funny as well. Right after it ended, I told Zack I wanted to do it all again.”

A hot dog truck added a casual New York touch, while guests received flowers wrapped in New York Times newspaper and suede bookmarks.
Élan Artists’ Rhythm Collective, a 16-piece band, played at the celebration, and DJ YaGirlAsh also performed. Ray gave a reception speech. Wedding planner Marcy Blum told PEOPLE, “The toast was funny and heartfelt with spot-on comedic timing, as one would expect.”
Ally and Zachary’s after-party looks
For the after-party, Ally changed into a vintage John Galliano dress from Happy Isles. The couple wore customized Air Force 1 sneakers with their initials stitched on the heels: Ally’s had pink stitching and laces, while Zachary’s were black.
