What happens to Randy at Whole Foods?
At checkout, Randy tells the cashier in advance that he does not intend to add extra money for charity. The cashier acknowledges him, then presents a request for a dollar to help hungry children. Randy refuses again. The exchange becomes uncomfortable when the cashier uses the donation graphic in a way that intensifies the public pressure.
Randy later returns to Whole Foods, recognizes the cashier, and anticipates another confrontation. The scene’s humor comes from the contrast between a small checkout donation request and Randy’s exaggerated sense that the interaction is coercive. It is a fictional satirical scene, not evidence of a real Whole Foods policy or standard checkout practice. The sequence is recorded in a transcription of the episode script.

How does the scene fit the episode?
The official synopsis puts Cartman’s body-shaming storyline at the center: Paramount+ describes him as “the latest victim of body shaming.” Randy’s checkout scene is a parallel strand, connecting the episode’s different plots through public embarrassment and unwanted pressure. That link between the storylines is an interpretation of how the episode juxtaposes them.
