These spoiler-aware clues are for Quordle game #1469, labeled Sunday, February 1. Start with the general hints, then read the four word clues; the answers are below a clear spoiler warning. A new puzzle appears at midnight in each player’s time zone, so the guide’s January 31, 2026 publication date can differ from the puzzle’s local date. TechRadar’s game #1469 guide and Forbes’ February 1 guide report the same answer set.

General hints for Quordle #1469

  • The four answers begin with S, B, F, and A.
  • None of the answers repeats a letter.
  • None contains Q, Z, X, or J.
  • Across the four words, the set includes all four standard vowels: A, E, I, and O. Y is not counted as a standard vowel here.

Clues for the four words

  1. First word: A snarling sound or expression associated with bared teeth.
  2. Second word: To start.
  3. Third word: A container used to keep liquids hot or cold.
  4. Fourth word: Intense pain; it can also describe someone who offers relationship advice.

How Quordle works

Quordle asks you to solve four five-letter words at the same time, with nine attempts available. A green tile marks a letter in the correct position; yellow means the letter is in the answer but in a different position. These mechanics are described in Forbes’ guide.
