Work through these clues in order to avoid seeing the answers too soon. The vowel count treats A, E, I, O and U as standard vowels and excludes Y.
- The four answers use three different standard vowels.
- Two answers contain a repeated letter.
- None of the answers contains Q, Z, X or J.
- No two answers start with the same letter.
- The starting letters, in order, are R, C, G and B.

How Quordle works
Quordle asks players to solve four five-letter words at once in nine attempts. A correctly placed letter appears green; a letter that appears in an answer but is in the wrong position appears yellow. Forbes also notes that practice games are available. These are the rules described in its August 31, 2024 article, rather than a claim about any later changes to the game.
