Spoilers for the series finale: In Episode 16, Eun-sung makes a final attempt to claim Hae-in, while she tries to escape with Hyun-woo’s help. Netflix’s official synopsis leaves the outcome as a question of whether they will find peace; TIME’s later description of the ending as happy is a critic’s interpretation, not a measure of audience consensus.

That description establishes the finale’s central stakes: Eun-sung’s attempt to control Hae-in and her effort to get away with Hyun-woo. It does not provide a scene-by-scene recap or spell out every confrontation and epilogue detail, so it is best read as a setup rather than a full account of the episode.
How the finale fits the series
Queen of Tears is a 16-episode Korean romantic drama about Baek Hyun-woo, a lawyer from Yongduri, and Hong Hae-in, an executive in the wealthy Queens Group family. Their marriage is tested by a serious crisis. Kim Soo-hyun plays Hyun-woo, and Kim Ji-won plays Hae-in.

#1 Best Overall
Episode 16 aired on April 28, 2024, closing the series’ run. Netflix identifies Park Ji-eun as the writer and Jang Young-woo and Kim Hee-won as directors. Episode metadata lists the directors as Jang Yeong-woo and Kim Hee-won, and credits Park Ji-eun as screenwriter; the difference in romanization of Young-woo/Yeong-woo reflects the names as rendered by the respective listings.
Does Queen of Tears have a happy ending?
TIME’s April 30, 2024 review characterizes the finale as resolving into a conventional, predictable happy ending and notes that the final end card reads “Happy Ending.” That is the critic’s assessment of the episode’s resolution and tone. It should not be treated as an objective verdict or evidence of a shared audience response.

Where to watch the series and find its soundtrack
Netflix’s catalog lists Queen of Tears as a 16-episode series. Availability can vary by region, and the catalog pages cited here do not establish availability in every country.
The soundtrack is separate from the series itself. A retailer lists a physical two-CD Queen of Tears OST edition with an 80-page booklet, lyric book, photocards, and other inclusions. That listing documents the edition and its stated contents, but does not establish current Amazon stock or price.
