The report recounts Evans’s Instagram post; it does not independently verify that the meeting took place.
What Pete Evans said about meeting Trump
PerthNow reported on 17 March 2025 that Evans had posted about spending an evening at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida resort. Evans wrote that he had a “beautiful evening” and said he met Trump, Elon Musk and James O’Keefe.
In wording reproduced by PerthNow, Evans wrote: “Got to meet and shake hands with the legendary DJ that was spinning the tracks all night for his guests, the President @realdonaldtrump as well as @elonmusk and @jamesokeefeiii”. This is Evans’s reported account of the evening, not independent confirmation of the encounters.
What is established—and what is not
- Established: PerthNow reported Evans’s claim and quoted his Instagram post.
- Not established by that report: Independent verification that Evans met Trump, Musk or O’Keefe.
The PerthNow account did not cite an official confirmation from Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or their organizations. That describes the evidence in the cited report; it is not proof that no confirmation exists elsewhere.

Why Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is part of the story
Although Kennedy appears in the PerthNow headline, the report’s Kennedy context concerns Evans’s relationship with him and a cookbook collaboration—not an account of Evans meeting Kennedy at Mar-a-Lago. PerthNow described their association as extending over several years and quoted Evans calling Kennedy “one of the most miraculous, brave, beautiful individuals that I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with over the last four or five years”. That characterization is Evans’s, as quoted by the outlet.
The cookbook connection
The collaboration referenced in the report is Healthy Food for Healthy Kids: 120 Simple, Nourishing, Gluten- and Dairy-Free Recipes Your Whole Family Will Love. Skyhorse Publishing lists Pete Evans as the author, gives the book a publication date of 11 February 2025, and lists it at 288 pages. The book provides context for the reported Evans–Kennedy connection; it does not corroborate the Mar-a-Lago claim.

What “disgraced” refers to
The label in the headline reflects earlier controversy, not evidence about the alleged meeting. In 2020, The Guardian reported that Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration fined Evans A$25,000 over claims concerning the BioCharger. In April 2020, ABC News reported on Evans promoting the device with coronavirus-related claims and on criticism of those claims. These 2020 events are separate from whether the 2025 meeting occurred.
