The cut was a short shag, feathered through the ends and long enough to reach the nape of her neck. Allure’s October 2, 2025 report described its light texture and flippy fringe at the Mugler show. The copper-red color made the change especially striking beside Anderson’s familiar blonde looks.
Vogue reported on September 30, 2025, that Anderson debuted the red color at Paris Fashion Week, pairing it with a shaggier cut. The publication identified Paris hairstylist John Nollet as responsible for the transformation.
Why did Anderson change her hair?
Anderson said the haircut drew on French cinema. Allure reported that one of her references was French actor Marlène Jobert. Vogue separately connected the copper color to Swedish film stars Gunnel Lindblom and Bibi Andersson, so the reported inspirations for the cut and color were not the same.

She also framed the change as experimentation while preparing for a film role. In Allure’s October 2025 report, Anderson said, “I’m just playing with it… it’s gonna be different every day,” and, “I’m preparing for a film, so I’m playing with the color.” Vogue connected the transformation to her upcoming role in Love Is Not the Answer.
In an interview conducted before the Paris reveal, Anderson told Who What Wear, “I haven’t really been tied to one look. I like to change it up.” She also said film roles sometimes influence her real-life appearance.

Is Pamela Anderson still wearing the copper shag?
No. The copper shag was a temporary look, not her latest documented hairstyle. Allure reported in January 2026 that Anderson had returned to almost-platinum blonde after wearing the coppery-red shag for the preceding months. Vogue reported in July 2026 that her son Dylan Lee had asked her to go blonde for his wedding: “Mom, can you be blonde for my wedding?” By September 2026, British Vogue described her at Vogue World in Milan with a curled platinum-blonde bob.
