The biggest headline offers in 2025 were a Disney+ and Hulu ad-supported bundle for $4.99 a month for 12 months (about $60 total), Apple TV+ at a reported $6 a month for six months, and HBO Max Basic with Ads at $2.99 a month for a year. These were limited-time promotions that ended December 1, 2025; they are not available Black Friday deals today.

| Apple TV+ | $6 per month for six months, $36 total | New and eligible returning subscribers; Engadget reported that signup had to be directly through Apple; offer ended December 1, 2025 | Not stated in the cited Engadget roundup |
| HBO Max Basic with Ads | $2.99 per month for the first 12 months, 70% below the stated $10.99 monthly price | New HBO Max customers; signup through HBOMax.com or select partners, including Apple, Google Play, Roku, Samsung, Xumo and Amazon Fire TV; offer ended December 1, 2025 | Not stated in the cited announcement |
The first-year totals are not perfectly comparable: Apple TV+’s offer lasted six months, while the Disney bundle and HBO Max promotion ran for 12. The three also differ in plan features and signup rules. For the Disney figures, see MacRumors’ November 29, 2025 report; for HBO Max, see Warner Bros. Discovery’s offer announcement; and for Apple TV+, see Engadget’s 2025 roundup.
Disney+ and Hulu: $4.99 a month for a year
The Disney+ and Hulu deal combined both services in their ad-supported versions for $4.99 per month over 12 months. That works out to $59.88 before tax; “$60 for one year” is the rounded total. MacRumors reported a regular comparison price of $12.99 per month and said the subscription would revert to the then-current monthly price after the promotional year unless cancelled. The offer was for new and eligible returning customers and expired December 1, 2025.
It was the longest of these three highlighted promotions, but the low price came with ads on both services. The regular-price comparison is the one reported in November 2025, not a claim about current pricing.

This was not an ad-free plan. The official announcement specifies the promotional term and eligibility but does not state the renewal price after the 12 months. Engadget also described a Prime Video add-on route in its roundup; the official announcement’s listed signup options are the more specific source for the eligible channels.
Other offers in the 2025 roundup
Engadget’s roundup also listed promotions for Sling TV, Paramount+, Audible, Starz, MasterClass, Plex, Fubo TV and DirecTV. Examples included a $1 Sling Orange day pass, Paramount+ for $6 for two months, Starz for $12 for one year and a $150 Plex lifetime pass. These are historical figures reported in that roundup, not current offers; the cited information does not establish all the eligibility and renewal terms needed for a like-for-like comparison. Check the original roundup for its account of those promotions, and do not treat the listed prices as available today.

How to compare the offers
- Check the plan tier: the Disney+ and Hulu bundle and HBO Max offer both included ads.
- Compare the whole promotional term: Disney+ and Hulu and HBO Max ran for 12 months; Apple TV+ ran for six.
- Confirm eligibility and signup route: the offers had different rules for returning subscribers and third-party subscriptions.
- Check the renewal price before subscribing: a low introductory monthly price does not establish what you will pay later. For the Disney bundle, the 2025 report said it would revert to the then-current price unless cancelled; the cited Apple TV+ roundup and HBO Max announcement did not specify their renewal prices.
Because these promotions ended in 2025, they do not establish what any service will offer in 2026. Confirm current terms directly with the provider before signing up.
