Perth’s Sneakerland took place at RAC Arena on 21–22 September 2024 as part of the inaugural HoopsFest. Its announced program paired a Kobe Bryant memorabilia display with a sneaker trading floor, auctions, basketball and gaming competitions, and giveaways. The event is now a past listing; its ticket prices and access details below describe the 2024 offer, not current availability.
What was Perth’s 2024 Sneakerland?
Sneakerland was a basketball-and-sneaker-culture event held at RAC Arena over the HoopsFest weekend. The Western Australian Government announced the inaugural HoopsFest for 19–22 September 2024, bringing together the NBL season’s opening round, a WNBL preseason tournament and the Australian Under 18 Club Championships, alongside supporting events including Sneakerland. The government’s HoopsFest announcement placed Sneakerland at RAC Arena.
RAC Arena later included a Sneakerland Exhibition among the HoopsFest weekend events in its September 2024 venue update.
What was in the Kobe Bryant sneaker museum?
VenuesWest described a pop-up museum featuring authentic Kobe Bryant memorabilia, including unreleased sneakers. PerthNow reported that organiser Jamal Diallo said visitors could see a pair of shoes personally signed by Bryant. The display was one part of a wider event rather than a standalone museum exhibition.

PerthNow also quoted Diallo describing a shoe as one of Bryant’s first designs with Nike. That wording appeared in the event coverage, but it does not establish the shoe’s identity or its place in Nike’s design history, so it should not be treated as a verified technical account.

Attendee Anthony Miller, 15, told PerthNow that sneakers added “swagger” to an outfit and that styling or choosing uncommon pairs could make a look distinctive. Those comments offer one attendee’s view of sneaker culture, not a survey of visitors.
What did Sneakerland tickets cost in 2024?
PerthNow’s 4 September 2024 report listed Saturday general admission and Sunday VIP access as follows. These were historical prices and arrangements for that event, not current ticket guidance.

The available 2024 coverage does not give further details about the Sunday VIP ticket’s inclusions beyond the auction and game access reported by the organiser.
How much was offered in prizes?
The published figures differ and describe the prizes in different terms. PerthNow reported more than $40,000 in “prize money” in its 4 September and 16 September 2024 coverage. VenuesWest’s event listing instead described over $10,000 worth of sneakers and other giveaway prizes. The sources do not explain whether these figures refer to the same pool, so they should not be added together or treated as a single verified total.

How does the 2024 event relate to Sneakerland today?
The dates, tickets and program above relate to the 2024 event. As of 8 October 2026, SLAND’s current website advertises a separate event scheduled for 13–17 January 2027 at RAC Arena and says access is included with HoopsFest tickets. That later listing does not change the historical 2024 ticket offer or establish that current partners were involved in the 2024 event. SLAND’s current site provides the current event information.
PerthNow reported that more than 30,000 sneakerheads had attended Sneakerland since its launch in 2021. This is the outlet’s reported cumulative attendance figure, not an independently audited count.
