Yes. Jimmy Kimmel Live returned to the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) for its announced five-day run, September 28–October 2, 2026. Variety reported on September 29 that the show had opened its Brooklyn week at BAM. The run has now concluded.
Did Jimmy Kimmel Live go to Brooklyn?
Yes. ABC’s published schedule listed the week of September 28, and contemporaneous reporting confirmed that broadcasts had begun from BAM in Brooklyn. Variety reported that the opening included Pete Davidson and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani; it also reported TV on the Radio as the musical guest. Variety’s September 29 report is evidence the week started there, rather than merely being announced.

ABC/Disney’s advance announcement described a five-day schedule, with weeknight broadcasts at 11:35 p.m. EDT. It explicitly said the schedule was subject to change, so the list below is the announced lineup, not independent confirmation that every guest appeared. ABC/Disney’s announcement listed:
- Monday, September 28: Pete Davidson, Zohran Mamdani, and TV on the Radio.
- Tuesday, September 29: Howard Stern, Amy Schumer, and Tom Morello.
- Wednesday, September 30: Billy Crystal, Mahershala Ali, and Audrey Hobert.
- Thursday, October 1: John Oliver, Seth Meyers, and Robby Hoffman.
- Friday, October 2: Paul McCartney, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Goose.
Where was the Brooklyn show filmed?
The venue was BAM’s Howard Gilman Opera House. LateNighter reported that five fresh episodes were planned there, describing the 2026 booking as the show’s eighth Brooklyn week. Its historical count lists seven earlier BAM runs—in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2025—with 35 episodes before the 2026 week. Those historical totals are LateNighter’s reporting, not numbers stated in ABC’s announcement. LateNighter’s report provides the venue and history.

What do ticket requests and the show’s future tell us?
Variety reported that Kimmel said the show had received over 150,000 ticket requests. That is a reported request count—not a number of tickets issued, attendees, or people inside BAM.
The Brooklyn run was separate from the question of the show’s longer-term renewal. On October 1, 2026, The Daily Beast reported that Disney executive Dana Walden had described the show’s future as unclear and that ABC had not renewed Kimmel’s contract beyond May 2027. Walden called late night “a very challenging daypart,” while also saying Kimmel was doing a “phenomenal job” and that his ratings were up relative to a smaller broadcast late-night audience. These are comments as reproduced in that dated report, not a later renewal decision. The Daily Beast’s October 1 report covers the separate contract discussion.
