E! reported that Affleck was in Los Angeles working and spending time with his children. That account describes his reported plans, not a confirmed explanation from Affleck for missing the event.
How the divorce fits into the timeline
Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, 2024. E! reported that court documents listed April 26, 2024, as the couple’s separation date. The premiere followed the filing by a little over two weeks. Those dates establish the context, but they do not show that the divorce caused Affleck’s absence.

Director William Goldenberg, in a remark E! relayed from Variety, said: “Everybody’s a professional, and that’s their own personal thing.” He also praised Lopez’s work on the film and said, “their personal life is their personal life.” His comments addressed the distinction between the production and the couple’s private relationship; they do not explain Affleck’s absence from the premiere.
