June 25, 2026: Six-week post-surgery update
Niven said her fusion was progressing at a six-week checkup. Her post, quoted by WrestleZone, read: “6 week post surgery check up today. Everything fusing nicely.”
In the same reporting, she explained that she had deliberated over the procedure and chose to try a one-level fusion rather than a triple fusion. She said: “Yes that was partially why it took so long as what would have been ‘best’ was a triple fusion but a triple fusion would have meant no return to the ring… I wanted to fight and see how I do with the one level first so it took time deliberating what symptoms came from where.” This is Niven’s account of her decision, not medical advice or a clinician’s prognosis.
