Perth Upmarket’s Christmas market at UWA was held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 10am to 4pm at Winthrop Hall. PerthNow reported free entry and parking for that day. The event brought together Western Australian makers and sellers, offering a way to begin the Christmas season while supporting local businesses.
What the November 2024 market offered
PerthNow described a market of Western Australian locals selling original goods across categories from food to clothing. The report named jewellery designer Silver Creek Studio, local designer Hobo and Hatch, and artist Fig.2. It did not publish a complete vendor list or a catalogue of specific products, so those names are examples rather than a full guide to what was available.
Victoria Alexion, a Perth fashion designer, described her label as personally designed, produced and sewn, and said its pieces were not manufactured overseas. Those are Alexion’s own descriptions, quoted by PerthNow, rather than independently verified claims about production or quality.
Why it was presented as a local Christmas outing
The event was framed as a chance to start the festive season by spending a day with local makers and businesses. Alexion called the market “my dream way to spend a day,” praising its food carts, shops and atmosphere. She also said, “It’s just cool to support local Perth people.”

Earthwise Eco-Friendly Reusable Box Tote in Holiday Plaid, Collapsible Grocery Bag with Reinforced Structure – Foldable Shopping Tote for Groceries & Everyday Use (3-pack)
- REUSABLE BAGS THAT REDUCE PLASTIC WASTE: Made from a durable non-woven material, these Earthwise tote bags are designed to replace single‑use plastic and contribute to a cleaner planet. One reusable bag can save an estimated 600-700 plastic bags over its lifetime--an easy everyday choice for greener living.
- LARGE CAPACITY BOX TOTE: The structured box shape holds more than standard reusable grocery bags, while keeping items secure and organized in your cart and trunk.
- EASY TO CARRY, STAYS OPEN & UPRIGHT: Designed with 4 rigid sides and a reinforced bottom, this reusable box tote stands open for easy loading, unloading, and checkout at the grocery store. It features long shoulder straps plus short side handles, making it easier to lift and carry heavy or bulky items with one or two hands.
- COLLAPSIBLE & EASY TO STORE: Folds completely flat when not in use for convenient storage in your car trunk, pantry, or kitchen drawer.
- HEAVY DUTY & DURABLE: Made from sturdy non‑woven polypropylene with reinforced seams and riveted handles to support heavy grocery loads and everyday use.
That framing makes the market a useful snapshot of Perth’s local-maker scene in November 2024, but the report does not compare vendors, prices, materials or product quality. It supports an account of the event’s mix and atmosphere, not a product recommendation or gift guide.
